This is a looooooong overdue sequel to Kookoobara chase, which was based off a trip to the Bronx Zoo with Kat and Megan in real life. The setup is similar, though the outcome is comically exaggerated.
Let me get one thing straight, I got beat up A LOT in middle school. In 135 it was because I was smart, in 181 it was because I was new. Nobody liked me, despite the fact that I never really did anything to catch anyone's ire, besides EXISTING that is. By highschool I had developed techniques to escape beatings, one was my "run like a squirrel" method, which is actually pretty effective. But there are situations where it isn't practical, leading to my second method "you're doing it wrong." Basically, when the person is in the process of beating you up or just about to, remind them that there are in fact better things to do than get in trouble for fighting, or simply point out a flaw in there technique, in Kat's case she inadvertently mashed my face into her chest when she got me in that headlock, a point I could exploit to get her to let go. Its surprising how many physical altrications one can avoid with the proper linguistic skills.
PS: this comic took 3 days to draw, it seemed wrong to go through that much effort on a page only to let it sit in the back of my folder so I'ma postin'
a) I thought that was some sort of grape jelly on your face in the second panel (before I read the comic, obviously). b) I like how the buzzard/vulture/circlebird/thing moved in all "SCORE!" XD Cute touch.

Yeah, well color your memory all you like that's the closest you're ever getting to me again, if I can help it. I'll just stick to good old fashion kicking you in the head when you bring my wrath upon you again.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
