***warning, spoiler about the end of Twilight Princess, and a funny spoof at that.
Ok, now that thats taken care of, the end of Twilight Princess was very heartfelt. Midna says a teary goodbye to Link and Zelda, then uses that tear to shatter the mirror, giving herself just enough time to hop through the twilight portal. Of course this caused 2 thoughts to run through my head, 1- Why did she do that? Its not like Ganondorf was going to jump through it again. And 2- what would have happened if she missed the timing and the mirror shattered 2 seconds sooner? I drew a comic about #2 because Venus and I thought it was hilarious. |

They had to shatter the mirror because of its evil power. Remember what it did to Yeta? And remember what Midna tells you at the end of the Temple of Time? "You know, we could be assembling something really powerful here... it may be something we ultimately have to destroy..." (OMG FORESHADOWING)
So yeah, that's the reasoning behind her actions. Kinda sucks that she lead Link into thinking it COULD stay, and then she SHATTERS it. She could've TOLD him they weren't gonna see each other again, at the very least.
Oh wells. Nyah.
