Alright, another month and so another recap. This month I completed 7 figures, beating January by one! I made an articulated Sprocket, 3 fan characters (Skylor, McCartney, and Damien) and 3 official characters (Lightning Lynx, Antoine, and Fiona.) Sadly...I still haven't officially completed any commissions yet...these multi-figure sets are killing me man!
Princess Peach Showtime: Mario's Sonic Adventure
I've been enjoying the newest entry in the Mario Franchise, Princess Peach Showtime. I was expecting this game to be a fairly basic 2.5 D Mario side scroller with Peach swapping outfits, but I got something significantly different. Peach does more than simply swap clothes around in this game, each stage is basically a game in a different genre, you find yourself playing a beat-em-up, a stealth game, a cooking mama pseudo sequel, a point and click adventure game, and several others depending on which stage you're on (and these are literal stages, considering each level is a magical play.) This is what makes me think of Sonic Adventure, since it's a multi-genre game with a wide variety of play styles. Also like Sonic Adventure, you might not like every stage. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the pâtissier stages since they boil down to tapping a button at a certain speed a bunch of times, but it's not like Big's fishing stages which take WAY too long to get through. Still
Hazbin Hotel lives rent free in my head
I've watched Hazbin Hotel 4 times, and have been absorbing all kinds of lore, theory, and fan videos about it since it came out (yes, I DID watch the Pilot close to it's original release date several years ago on youtube) and it is kind of my favorite animated show at the moment. My favorite character is Sir Pentious but they're all amazing characters with great designs, voices, and personalities. I highly recommend watching the show, but I want to analyze my favorite character's arc. -Sir Pentious is the secret main character of season 1 of Hazbin Hotel. Introduced in the pilot as a villain of the week type who was trying to become a demon lord by taking over territory in hell using his technical skill, and returning in the second episode of the proper series as trying to advance by taking out Alastor so he could be noticed by the V's. I assume the show takes place around the year 2020 (based on when the pilot came out) and he died in the year 1888, so he's been in hell for just
First Impression of live action Avatar
I started watching the new live action remake of Avatar: the Last Airbender on Netflix. I'm only up to the third episode so far but I can say it's better than the Shyamalan movie. Of course that isn't saying much, to say more I'd actually put it on par with the live action One Piece. The costuming and effects are all great, the character names are actually pronounced right, and the characters are accurately represented from the source material. It isn't a 1-1 episode by episode remake, but all the important beats are hit, which I actually prefer, if they did just try to use the animation as storyboards it would always just be considered an inferior copy.
well, that didn't take long
don't feel bad if you didn't get in this round, hopefully the next batch of commissions will be ready next month. Here are the 5 names on the commission list now: 1- Ian's Collectibles reviews: Young Link 2- Giovanni: Super Knuckles and Super Tails 3- Dylan D: Scourge and Super Scourge 4- Ashley: OC Malachi 5- Dylan C: Violet
